Fantastic course. One of my favourites without shadow of a doubt. Had the pleasure of playing in September whilst in the area for the BMW PGA at Wentworth.
Very well manicured golf course with excellent greens, characterful holes and far reaching views. A buggy is recommended!

We played the course as a society on the 11th. Nov it was like a summers day. Started with a cooked breakfast which was excellent. The course was in great condition with the greens fast, the fairways were in great shape and roped off where necessity. The views were glorious and it was great to see a variety of birds flying around the fairways Kites Buzzards pheasants to name but a few. We all enjoyed our day and the staff hospitality was first class. We shall be returning next year for another match. Well done to all staff great to see. Best Regards Chris Jackson. (Jacko).

Course a few times every year, and it never disappoints, especially now with their new head green keeper who has honestly made the course even better with brilliant greens along with super staff .so if your looking for a gem of a course try Goring & Streatley you won’t be disappointed …

I enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch today at the golf club The pork was beautifully tender, perfectly cooked vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. In short much better than mine!
Perfect service and a warm, friendly atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Fiona, Linda and everyone who made it such a fabulous meal.

Where golf meets nature’s cardio workout.
There are golf courses, and then there’s this—a masterclass in breathtaking vistas and humbling athleticism. Tucked deep in the Berkshire countryside, with the Chiltern Hills sprawling in the background like something out of a pastoral oil painting, the Goring and Streatley Golf Club isn’t just a place to play; it’s a place to feel alive. Preferably on a clear day.
I, of course, in my infinite wisdom, decided to tackle the course on New Year’s Eve, as a brewing storm swirled above like an ominous caddy. Driving with the wind behind me, I felt like Tiger Woods at the peak of his powers; into the gale, I felt like his caddy carrying the bag uphill after a Christmas binge.
And speaking of uphill, let’s address the first four holes—a gruelling initiation that tests not just your swing but your cardiovascular integrity. The climb is relentless, leaving you wondering if you’d accidentally signed up for a triathlon. But persevere, and you’re rewarded with the rest of the course—a symphony of rolling fairways and tantalising greens that make the earlier climb feel like a distant bad dream.
The 10th is a sweeping dog-leg that seduces you into thinking you’re a golfing genius (you’re not), while the 17th offers a gift to those with a natural fade: the chance to smash the drive of your life while pretending you planned it.
This is a course that demands a return visit. In summer, with the sun on your back and a Pimm’s waiting in the clubhouse, it must be a slice of heaven. Until then, I’ll nurse my sore legs and fond memories of a course that challenges, delights, and leaves you begging for more.

Mid winter and the course was in fantastic shape. The temporary T boxes were better than most putting greens. Food at halfway house was outstanding and the value for money was excellent.

Played in the Senior's Open on 18/06/24 and really enjoyed everything about the day.

The course was presented in great condition, with the greens rolling very smoothly and at good pace. Great variety in the course - holes 2 and 3 are uphill, 3 steeply so, and 17 is a most spectacular downhill hole with fantastic views. There are plenty of trees and some long rough to punish really wide shots, but mostly the fairways were generous.

Friendly welcome from all there and with bacon/coffee before and steak & ale pie and brownie/ice cream afterwards, for me the £52 entry fee was excellent value. I'll definitely be looking to enter here again and highly recommend.
