I rented from HC Jones for 2 years and it was a great experience - a welcome break from nightmare agencies I’d had had experiences with before. Their reference check is thorough because they want to make sure they get the right people in. And rightly so, for the area (they own properties across the whole block) has a lovely neighbourly and safe feel to it. Throughout my stay at the flat, the team at HC Jones always looked after me - promptly fixing any faults and scheduling regular maintenance work on the flat. And when the time came for me to move, they were incredibly supportive in helping me to terminate the tenancy early which they really didn’t have to do. They are simply kind, respectful, value driven people and I’ll always be very grateful for their support. What a great team Simon, Jacob, Julia and Annabel! I hope to rent from you again!

Me and my partner have been renting with H C Jones for 7 months and I can genuinely say this has been the best renting experience I’ve ever had. As I’m self employed, I was expecting the process to be complicated but it was actually pretty straightforward. I had to provide all necessary documentation with letters of recommendation. Jacob has been very helpful and we absolutely love our home! We were losing hope of finding a decent property to rent during the renting crisis but thanks to Jacob we were able to do so. Any questions we had while renting were answered promptly and we are always given plenty of notice if there’s anything we should know about like gas safety check etc. I’d give more stars if I was able to!

Best renting experience so far!

My partner and I had spent months looking at places in the area before we were lucky enough to stumble upon HC Jones & Co. The property was easily the best one we had seen on our search - sparkling-clean, well-maintained and freshly painted. After our viewing we knew straight away we wanted to move in. The process went quickly and easily and Jacob (the agent who dealt with our deal) was always super helpful whenever we needed clarification or help.

We’ve been living here for 8 months now and it has been the best renting experience I’ve had. Whatever issue, question or request we’ve had there has always been a quick and helpful response.

I have been delighted by the service and support of HC Jones &Co.

I recently left the Armed Forces and this was my first private rental which I was very nervous about. But, fortunately HC Jones and Co were very friendly, supportive and clear on the process; making this big step for me easy.

Me and my partner had several meetings with Jacob and his team where we were always impresses and made to feel valuable as customers to them. They answered all of our questions, were patient with us, explained everything and guided us through the rental procedure.

My partner & I have been renting from HC Jones for the past 9 months and have had have a great experience with them, especially Jacob & Simon. Both being self-employed and in the midst of a rental crisis, HC Jones sought to find the best way possible to get us a wonderful rental, where other estate agents wouldn’t give us a chance. If it wasn’t for these guys, we’d be paying the same price for a ‘studio’ in someone’s back-garden. Not to mention, being a local family run business, it’s always a pleasure to bump into these guys around Surbiton, where you’re sure to be greeted with a warm smile.

The process was very intrusive and a bit much. They manage a whole street in Berrylands/Surbiton. They asked for 6 month bank statements. I applied for a mortgage and they didn't even ask for that. Plus Jacob (agent who showed us around) had given me information about my partners spending that i felt was quite rude and inappropriate . I didn't need to know that information and has now caused us to rethink this process. The agency is clearly very judgemental and makes us very uncomfortable. They ask for too much in my opinion. It also gave us cult vibes which is funny to say but thats the truth.
I hope that maybe your agency can re-think its process in the future. I rented for 10 years before covid and lived in 5 different places but never have i been through a situation like this. I called to discuss this matter and all i got was excuses and the agency defending themselves. Disappointed to be honest.

Brilliant customer service, We were shown around two wonderful properties in Berrylands at a great price.
We even have 2 friends now renting with them too so i can't recommend them highly enough.
