I have had to go to Halifax branch for my name to be changed on my bank accounts @ 9.28am on Wednesday the 9th of October 2024.
Unfortunately the lady Kelly who looked at me with pity from the start I walked through the doors of Halifax branch @ Salisbury dealt with me badly and sadly talking to me so arrogant it made me feel like I wasn’t a customer but rather someone who is barely accepted at Halifax Bank even though I have been using Halifax since 2016 I believe. She wasn’t helpful at all and she should receive a full customer service training. No wonder why this place got only 2.7 stars out of 5 stars.
I would like to give Kelly a 0stars for not even trying to help a customer of Halifax Bank.
Lucky for me Kelly has been sent in and a new lady appeared who was to be so helpful it turned things around! Joy was lovely and helpful and was joy to deal with to be honest. She was knowledgeable and helped me with every question I have had and helped me with my every request.
If it wasn’t for her I would be considering closing my bank accounts with Halifax, just because of Kelly and her attitude towards me the customer.
As mentioned 0 stars for Kelly and 5 Stars for Joy.

Had lost my phone and wallet. Meaning no online banking or card to use a atm. I went instore with my passport to prove my identity. Though they agreed that I'm the card holder they refused to allow me to get cash out or transfer any money. Told me I need to go without until I've got a new card. Luckily I have accounts with other banks otherwise my kids wouldn't be able to eat for the next 5 working business days it takes for my card to arrive

We drove all the way from Ringwood to find Salisbury's Halifax branch closed on Thursdays. Whereas their Web site says they're open!

I genuinely believe Halifax has improved substantially since many of the one star reviews were posted. The staff are attentive, caring and solved many problems regarding my power of attorney difficulties in an efficient and professional manner. They have a lady patrolling the banking hall asking if she can assist you which is a very nice touch. Well done to Manager and staff there. Tony

Very disappointed. I was with Halifax for 6+ years and I never could have a product with them. When I asked for a credit card they said I can have one (my credit score was good and I needed any type of lending for my score to be excellent) however, when I applied it was declined, so I contacted credit card team and they told me to apply again (I was nervous it will affect my credit score) anyways I did it what I was told as they are the “experts”. It was all declined once again. My credit score was affected, of course! I contact the credit card team and visited this branch and, they told me: “leave it with me, I will investigate this further and contact your back” and guess what? I never hear anything from them. So I have switch my bank with a very low credit score and trying to building up my record with my new bank. After 6 months with my new bank they have offered me a credit card, loan, overdraft and I look forward for my future mortgage with them.

a huge lack of communication between the staff members, zero ownership, customer service is very appalling and contradicted (listen to the calls and get QA correctly).

I been with Halifax for more then 10years and been many branches including in Scotland and all staff are very friendly n helpful in all kind. But at Salisbury the staff are totally different between heaven n hell. Not willing to help, bad attitude, racist, not friendly and the worst is hopping customers not to came for any transactions. Even don't have any customer around still not willing to help when we needed. Hopefully management will look into this problem. Come to the worst if the branch is closed the staff will still blaming others and not looking into the service problem. Thx

Saturday morning and only 1 till counter open as usual plus a queue of 4 people at the Customer Service Desk in the public area part of the Halifax. Wanted to transfer some money from a current account to another and have done this at both the Till Counter and also on the I pad at Customer Services in the past. As the lady on the Till Counter was not occupied went over to her to ask to do this transaction. Was told not possible to do this at the Till Counter as there were enough Halifax staff out in the public area to deal with this transaction using I pads. So she was content to sit gazing out through her glass screen into the public area doing absolutely nothing watching yet enough person join the queue to wait for an I pad to become available. Very poor customer service especially on a busy Saturday morning.

After 17 years as a Halifax customer I was truly disappointed at the shocking attitude and poor customer. This branch used to be friendly and helpful but having not visited the branch for 6 months it would seem that the customer service training has stopped. It's a sad end to an otherwise satisfactory relationship. One moment of dreadful service and another customer leaves.
