I’ve been working with the HES team personally over the past two years, and I’ve been consistently impressed by their professionalism and dedication. In particular, Caroline White, the Senior Property Manager for our development, has been exceptional. Her deep knowledge, approachability, and ongoing support have made her a pleasure to deal with, and a real asset to our community.
More recently, I required assistance from the HES legal team and had the good fortune of being introduced to Karen Stainer. Karen is a true credit to HES—she handled a complicated issue with remarkable clarity, efficiency, and empathy. Her expert guidance made what could have been a stressful process feel straightforward and manageable.

When working for a management company, your covering welfare and people’s livelihoods. So, it’s important to build good relationships and a clear understanding of each individuals objectives. It is not so much about the subject matter, its more about the detail of how to successfully complete a task.

We engaged HES nearly two years ago as our Managing Agents for our 10 x apartment bock. HES have been, and continue to be, a joy to work with. Last Friday at 4pm we noticed the lift doors were not operating properly. I phoned HES and got Gavin Derriman, one of the directors. He managed to contact our lift contractors and the problem was sorted out that evening, resulting in no downtime of the lift. Our dedicated property manager is also a dream to work with. Would whole-heartedly recommend HES!

Review of HES Agency: Terrible Service and Negligence

I am incredibly frustrated and disappointed with HES Agency’s handling of the property I live at. I am currently 21 weeks pregnant and have been living without access to a lift for the past three months, despite the fact that I raised this issue repeatedly. They continuously ignored my concerns and provided nothing but excuses, showing a complete lack of care or responsibility for the well-being of their tenants.

To make matters worse, there is a severe mould problem throughout the building, including inside our flat. As someone with asthma, this has been a serious health risk for me, and I have been hospitalized due to the effects. I now require ongoing inhalers to manage my condition. Yet, despite these significant health concerns, HES Agency has shown no urgency or desire to fix the issue but instead blaming us for the problem. I don’t think they realise the seriousness of this.

When I raise these matters with them, instead of acknowledging their failings, they take it personally and attack the tenants. On top of this, I discovered that they spoke badly of another tenant so god knows what they say about others here. It’s
completely unprofessional and unnecessary.

The agency also never runs weekly checks on the building, and it’s clear they have no regard for health and safety regulations. In all my years of renting, I have never encountered an agency as negligent and uncaring as HES. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a place to live to avoid renting through them. They have shown time and again that they do not care about the tenants’ health, safety, or concerns.

Our experience of HES very poor. Staff unprofessional. Do not appear to be up to speed re basic block management skills. Work ethic poor. Unable to carry out simple tasks. Staff project superior attitude - ultimately have no idea how to accomplish tasks. We found some staff members releasing confidential security information into public domain.
