I experienced extremely poor service and follow-up at this clinic. They abruptly stopped my medication without any notice, which left me in a very vulnerable mental state. Despite their claims of offering therapy, it was never actually provided. The reception staff were consistently rude, and there were no qualified doctors prescribing treatment—only a pharmacist.

When I asked why Isabel Straker had been struck off the medical register, they refused to answer and immediately discharged me from their private mental health service. Since leaving, I have finally received appropriate care from properly qualified medical professionals.

This clinic was dismissive, unprofessional, and irresponsible in their handling of my treatment. Most GPs won’t even accept shared care from them because the prescriber isn’t a doctor. I strongly advise against spending your money here.

From pricing to prompt appointments, the relaxed environment at the clinic was second to non. We have had regular appointments to monitor medication and again fantastic experience such lovely staff all round from emails to our therapy sessions which again very relaxed and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. **“Let down at my lowest — 8 days with no reply.”**

I had high hopes when I started with this clinic. The initial assessment at their Liverpool centre seemed efficient, and I received my report within two weeks, as promised. But in hindsight, alarm bells should have gone off straight away — the assessment wasn’t carried out by a qualified doctor, but by an assistant psychologist, with doctors reviewing notes afterwards to make the diagnosis. I thought that was odd, but assumed it might be standard practice.

Sadly, the aftercare was where everything truly fell apart.

I spent over £1,000 expecting personalised, professional support — but what I got were rushed sessions, poor communication, and a real lack of compassion when it mattered most. Therapy calls often felt like a tick-box exercise, with constant connection issues on their end and very little time to be properly heard. When I shared that the medication was making my anxiety worse, I was told to speak to my GP for additional medication — which completely defeated the purpose of ADHD treatment.

The lowest point came when I reached out in crisis. I emailed both the therapist and helpdesk — and **8 days passed with no response**, so I emailed again. When I finally got a reply, I was told my original message hadn’t been received. The reply itself felt rushed, as the therapist mentioned needing to head into a meeting. I didn’t feel safe, heard, or supported — just like another number in a busy system.

To make matters worse, my husband submitted a formal complaint a few days ago — and we’ve still had no reply. No acknowledgment, no update, nothing.

No doubt they’ll respond to this review with a comment about their complaints process — but based on our experience, it doesn’t seem to be functioning properly.

I wouldn’t want anyone else to feel as invisible or dismissed as I did. Mental health support should be responsive, compassionate, and safe. Unfortunately, this service was none of those things for me.

14 cancelled appointments, 4 times over charged. Each time you visit you see someone new and have to explain yourself again like groundhog day. Put you on the most generic med first knowing it will fail so you keep stuck in a cycle of paying for new meds and titration. Initially it should have cost around £1200.00 that changes and increased with every med. There is no therapy or therapist. I've sent dozens of emails, called over a hundred times. They say someone will call you back. It never happens. They don't respond to emails and I can prove and back up everything I'm saying. I wish I'd chosen anyone but these clowns to help me. They are scammers and amateurs who only want your money. Not one single professional person at this company. My experience has been from October 2024 to today, the 3rd of May 2025. They lie about meetings being for therapy when it's someone signing a sheet for a medication. They try and steal from you whenever they can. Absolutely avoid these amateurs / clowns as they won't listen to you, or help you in any way. They only want your money.

Istraker Consultants gave me the worst healthcare experience of my life.
Hope no else has to go through the same medical misconduct, clinical negligence, and withheld refund that I experienced, if you are seeking ADHD diagnosis and treatment.

Medical Misconduct: On 1st May, this clinic sent me a prescription without the prescriber’s signature, which does not meet the legal requirement. As a result, I was unable to get the medication from any pharmacies.

Clinical Negligence: Despite emailing this serious issue to the clinic immediately, the clinic did not respond for three weeks, while I suffer from delay in treatment.

Withheld Refund: On the 21st of May, I requested a refund of £280 for unused titration sessions due to serious concerns from their previous irresponsible behaviour. 30 days have passed with no refund.

Broken Promise: On 10th June, the clinic emailed saying they would reply either that day or the next — but 10 days have passed, and still nothing.

Undisclosed Waiting Time from the beginning: The clinic did not disclose it will take 3 weeks to get the diagnosis report. Only after completing the diagnosis interview was I told that.

The £280 refund has still not been received. I’d really appreciate it if anyone reading this review knows where this can be reported and steps to take next. Many thanks.

Am one of your patients well am meant be. This business is run by a bunch of clowns you have no knowledge of mental health what so ever the person who done the assessment wasn’t even a psychiatrist for a start. I was promised a phone call Friday just gone after waiting 9 days which never happened what kind of business are you running. I won’t be paying you a penny more until this is sorted. Is my mental health one big joke to you. There has been no communication what so ever. I am going to expose you in every way I can starting with the papers. You only care about the money I’ve seen so many bad reviews about yourselves. I want some answers by tomorrow. Your meant to be helping when am at my lowest but your making my condition worse what are you playing at. I can imagine people self harming or even worse because of your company. I want a reply by tomorrow or is that to much to ask for a simple phone call. Am going to make sure you dont get any business I don’t want anyone els to go through what am going through with your company. Your just scammers
