ADHD-specific coaching arranged through and funded by Access to Work. Carmel was, from the outset, a personable, conversational and professional coach. The work we did together has been transformative and promises to continue to contribute to my personal and professional growth in future.

Carmel's coaching approach was holistic, both wide-ranging and focused where needed, and helped me unpack current challenges, historic influences and future development. We shone a light on aspects of my life, behaviours and situations, collaborated to consider their impact and developed strategies to improve them.

Carmel shared insights from her own life and work, which is a core part of my professional skill set, so it was wonderful to experience this from her. She gently challenged me on a number of occasions, for which I'm grateful, as it was needed to help me explore the truths of what we were discussing.

Carmel and I forged a strong coaching relationship, intertwined with a reciprocal, mutual personal connection. This was comfortable, boundaried and professional, and absolutely key to the effectiveness of the work we did together.

A fundamental outcome of this coaching with was a realisation that I not only connected with Carmel, but with the coaching method, resulting in me considering undertaking a coaching qualification and moving to coaching as a future for my career in mental health support. Through this coaching work, I am proud and privileged to have been empowered to consider strategies to support myself with overcoming aspects of ADHD, but also to be moved to train as a coach in future and support others in a similar way to my experience with Carmel.

I couldn't say enough positive things about Chris. He made me feel so at ease on our sessions and tailored them specifically to my needs and topics to cover. Each session I would relax in with some general chit chat which made me feel comfortable for each session and felt like I got to know Chris on a more personal basis which really developed our relationship and helped with the coaching sessions. There were many a time where Chris let me unload things that were on my mind/chest and almost doubled up as a therapist at time. The support outside of the calls is also second to none, where Chris will take the time to send me content relevant and helpful to me.
