I formally request that the person/persons responsible for the recent trademarks on 'Welsh cake', 'hiraeth', and 'cariad' publicly apologise and resign. I am a small representation of a very vocal majority that likely agrees with me. Our national culture is not a commodity but our identity. Though there is a hierarchy to national income, tourism and trade are secondary to that identity. It anchors us to our time in our place and I guarantee we don't want some oddjob in Bridgend holding onto a warm representation of that.
