Disappointed. In their report, they described wall as load bearing when it was not. As a result I purchased steel beam which was not necessary. Company refused to refund their fee for the survey and calculations, relying on their Terms and Conditions. I think they had a moral obligation to refund me for unnecessary calculations. I will not use them again.

Can highly recommend ML Consulting. Was looking for a full structural survey on a property I'm in the process of buying and needed a quick turnaround. Adam carried out the survey the very next day and had the report back to me within a week. There were a number of concerns I had about the property, but Adam was happy to discuss the details of the report over the phone and put my mind at rest that the majority of the issues were not as severe in nature as first feared. We recently had our House Sale held up due to concerns from our buyers Mortgage company about the structural safety of our extension. On recommendation form Purple Bricks we contacted ML Consulting for a full Structural Engineering Survey and were not disappointed. They were extremely helpful and friendly when organising quotes and appointments and everything was sorted in a very timely manner. Adam Roberts the Engineer was also a great help explaining any issues and put our minds at rest over any concerns. Thanks to ML Consulting structural work has been completed at a good price thanks the their recommendations and our house sale is moving again.

We are currently in the process of buying our first home & our lender was spooked by a crack in the decorative plaster moulded arch & so requested a full structural engineers report in order for us to proceed with our sale. ML Consulting got straight onto it and although we had to wait 2 weeks for our full report to come though, our engineer (Adam I believe) was able to run through his findings over the phone the very next day to put our minds at ease. We are now back on track with our sale and would recommend ML Consulting to anyone looking for professional and helpful service.

We needed a structural survey completing on a property we were buying. This was organised quickly and we were able to attend whilst the survey was conducted. Adam discussed the various issues with us and was very professional and discreet, with the owner also being on site. The report was produced quickly afterwards, and gave us the confidence to go ahead with the purchase, but only after a significant reduction had been negotiated in lieu of some of the concerns. We would definitely recommend Adam and ML Consulting.

I read the 1 star review on this company and i have to be completely honest this is not the service i received and i m glad i picked up the phone and spoke to them about what i needed and also about the review i read. I run a development company and am very specific with working with, can do people, who can ensure honest open costs from the start. Greg and his boss i feel went the extra mile for me on so quite intense footing foundations i needed. They have been on the ball from the moment i called and even stayed late to finish the works for me in order to get the job done. I would certainly recommend them from my experience and will be back shortly for for items to be specified.
