I approached China from Mortgage Help Scotland as well as another company to assist me with the purchase of my first house. After speaking with both brokers it was very clear that China was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and I felt like I could trust her to find me the best deal on my mortgage. It wasn’t until several months down the line that an offer was accepted on a house and I made sure to email her directly to help find me the best deal. For us being first time buyers, this process was new and we didn’t know a lot about what buying a house actually meant. China was exceptionally helpful. We needed to discuss some slightly complex changes to our mortgage and she was very helpful in simplifying everything down and giving very helpful advice.

I am writing this review a few months after we spoke to her as I was reading her summary email and realised how invaluable her advice has been for us. EDIT (again) - I have re-read the summary email and help given by China nearly a year on and the concise summary is still proving very useful.

We have used First Mortgage before and the service at Mortgage Help Scotland was incomparably better. We felt like we were being upsold and talked down to at First Mortgage at every turn, but there was none of that here.

She explained all options with pros and cons for a remortgage, helped me secure a deal, been very prompt on responding, and more importantly went above and beyond to help with an issue caused by the lender that risked my mortgage. All in all, an excellent service, definitely recommend her, and look forward working with her again in the future.
