rented a flat, when left, giving full notice, my deposit was promised to be returned. no chance! the deposit wasn't held with one of the two deposit agencies, as required by law, they ignore my calls and messages. they have closed the stourbridge office, the office in halesowen is just a postal address for them and they haven't had any contact for months, the office in birmingham is just a telephone answering service, answering calls for scores of companies. in short my deposit has been stolen. i used to go to the stourbridge office and pay cash every month. i wonder if my rent was passed to the landlord?
