Our first house self build went fabulously well and Potton were great at listening to our requirements and delivering with a fantastic product at a really competitive price. We would definitely use Potton again as they offer truly bespoke designs to your requirements and their quality is superb!

I came across Potton reading 'Build-It' Magazine. My wife and I knew we wanted to 'move into the country' when we retired. We found a perfect plot in North Hampshire and lived in a little 70s bungalow on-site bungalow while we waited for planning permission. The design is based on the Wickhambrook barn at the Potton show site but we made many amendments with the help of Sean Adams, who was marvellous. He then submitted the plans and we moved in to temporary accommodation 6 months after buying the land.

A year later we moved back in and tackled the furnishing etc. We are now delighted with our build; there is nothing we would change. The build process was exhilarating for me and I was able to keep an eye on progress from a summerhouse that we had built in the corner of the plot.

One of the build team had, in the past worked for another timber frame company; he declared that the Potton timber frame was the best he had ever seen!

We built our Potton home in 2013 and we are delighted with it. Potton organised the planning and building regs for us, planning was not straight forward but eventually the application was approved. The timber frame assembly went really quickly and we were weather tight within 5 weeks of the frame arriving on site. It took me another year or so to finish it off as we had no main contractor. Potton were really helpful at all stages of the build and we would not hesitate to recommend them to any would be self builder.

Impressive manufacturing plant, however, very poor customer service and extremely expensive on comparison, this forced us to look elsewhere and we found the Roe Timber Frame company, nearly half the price for the same quality product. I would not recommend Potton Homes.
