We corporately have had an ongoing HMRC R&D tax credit enquiry to which Ruari Clark has been exceptional. The case circumstances are less important but I want to convey my thoughts concerning the manor and professionalism with which QLC conducted themselves.

QLC has been fantastic through a very bureaucratic process. They started the client relationship with a warm, understanding and empathetic manner that engendered calm, competence and reassurance. From the outset I felt Ruari and the QLC team were totally committed to supporting me through the process. The specific process that QLC led on, was protracted and extremely frustrating but throughout QLC was efficient, effective and constantly reassuring. They focused on the evidence and demonstrated a great knowledge and understanding of case law in this field. Ruari specifically guided and advised on tactics and content of argument and provided excellent advocacy throughout an ultimately successful process. Ruari was sharp on current case law and legal precedent and drawing on his experience really reduced the stress on me. Every report produced by QLC was concise, logical and articulated our position extremely well.

Superb company. Makes R&D accessible for companies of any size. I used to see R&D as something complicated that was only for larger companies but it really isn’t if you do it through these guys.

There is zero jargon, you basically just outline the work you have been doing and give them access to your accounts. They then go away and translate the whole thing into HMRC language and send it off. It's also very personal so if they need to clarify something or you need support they will talk you through it, a brilliant hybrid of concierge support with the convenience of a simple interface and process.

We are a small company that has only started doing R&D in recent years. So far we have got over £10,000 and I would say I have spent less than a day to get that return.

Their fee is based on the amount you get back and there is no minimum so it is a no-brainer really.
