Neither my partner or myself had bought or sold a house for a very long time. Our solicitor at Samuels, Maisie Bonfield and conveyancing assistant, Charlie-Ann Glew guided us through both processes with great kindness and professionalism.

Seeking lawyers to handle a breach of privacy case, I found Samuels through the Law Society and gave them a call. I was offered a callback, which I received very shortly after, and spoke with Judith Thompson about my situation. She was friendly and attentive, demonstrated good knowledge of the related issues, and concluded that due to some aspects being governed by French law, though they could take on the role of instructing French solicitors, I would be "better served by going directly to that firm to avoid paying two lawyers for the same job" [paraphrased]. This efficient and honest interaction earns them high regard from me. To know that one's lawyer is thinking of what's in one's best interest and not in how to get a paycheck, makes these guys a top tier firm to me. I thus consider them a first port of call if I should ever have need of domestic lawyers in the future.

Where do I even start. These solicitors were completely unprofessional and did not act in our best interests at all. All they did was out blame on other parties involved in the transaction when it was them not commutation and make information clear to agents involved or parties in the chain. I would never use them again and would suggest no one does as the service was so poor and had caused us a lot of mental and physical problems due to things not being done in a timely manner which they so say pride themselves on. Stay away unless you want to be treated like you don’t exist or matter to them at all. Don’t let them take your money; one thing I have learnt is you do really need to do your research before choosing a solicitor because you don’t want this poor service as can be detrimental.
