If you’re looking for ease of use, clear policies, an APP that is user friendly and manages all things in the same place DO NOT use this company.
They make things so difficult to navigate or actually speak to a helpful human that you’re left not knowing anything about your investment or rewards.
Terrible company.
No wonder they have such poor reviews!!!

To be honest I didn’t choose this company with my pension by choice. It was taken over from Canada Life. Recently I’ve tried to withdraw from my pension ‘MY MONEY’ thr process has been ongoing for 4 months! Finally they send me the payment because I told the customer service staff that I was in desperate need of a car. They then email me to tell me that they have overpaid me and it was an error and will be in touch! In the meantime I am in the process of purchasing my car. Disgraceful behind belief I cannot express my anger and disgust at their treatment of the customers whose money they are trusted with!!!! DO NOY TRUST THEM. Read all the reviews below.

Please do not trust these people with your hard earned cash! My daughter was gifted a trust fund for her 18th birthday which was in November, she never received the cheque so in December she rung them to see where it was they told her it must of been lost in the post and they would issue a new one. January came still now cheque so she rung them up and they said they would look into it. Someone rung her back and told her the cheque had been cashed in November (surely they would’ve seen this when she rung up in December) they requested she sent in her bank statements to prove she had not received the money. She did this straight away through email. First they was the wrong dates then the accounts didn’t match they used every excuse to fob her off. Every time she would call or email it would be someone different who had a different story. Today she rung and exploded the women went away to speak to a manager after 15 minutes the lady returned to say the money would be transferred (why wasn’t this done in the first place?) within 2 hrs. 2 hrs passed and still no money so she rung back spoke to someone else who said the money can’t be released as it’s being investigated by the police as they could see it was a 3rd party that apparently’ cashed the cheque and they would be in touch soon. After putting the phone down she then decided to ring back to ask for the crime reference number and surprise , surprise there isn’t one!! Nothing they have been saying or doing sits right and it seems like they will go to whatever lengths to not pay out the money. Imagine if it was an elderly person going through all this and the stress it would cause. I’m going to find a way to report this company and get them investigated because surely after reading the reviews on here tonight they can’t keep getting away with, withholding peoples money.

Scottish Friendly has been delaying my Child Trust Fund (CTF) payout for months. I’ve been extremely cooperative, providing multiple verification documents to prove my identity, yet every step of the way, there’s been another request or long periods of silence. Despite following up multiple times, my emails have been ignored for weeks.

At this point, I have to ask—how much longer am I expected to wait? Or is making the process as difficult as possible just standard procedure?

Just withdrew my ISA. Got back more then I paid in, took a few days to hit the back account. Never had any issues. Thank you!

Dear Critical and all at Scottish Friendly
You are in clear breach of your own policy contract.

I have given you ample opportunity (11 months) to supply evidence of your non-contractual requirements which you have failed to truthfully, and transparently, reply to or prove.

I ask again that you quote from the policy schedule and policy details your 'requirements' other than one year's previous earnings and medical records IF I had an earnings related policy.

I ask that you pay the monies owed according to our contract within the next seven working days.

If I do not receive monies owed I will take further action.

UPDATE: 16 months later I am beginning legal proceedings against Scottish Friendly for adding 'requirements' to the policy contract.

Do not put your hard earned cash with this company
I've been saving for over 25 years, now at maturity, they have been procrastinating for over a month on the payout.
Really poor processes. Only way forward is to raise issue with the Financial Ombudsman then FCA

The service received from Scottish Friendly is a disgrace. I've been filling out forms for at least 8 weeks now. Stage 4 completed and they will now start with the process of releasing my pension money. I previously had the pension with Canada Life and this seems to be a big issue with other reviewers. I might be paid before I'm 61 (a year after retirement date) Worse company I've ever dealt with.
