Whilst I am pleased with my advisor, dealing with the broader SJP organisation is frustrating and actually quite disrespectful towards the end client. Via the SJP portal, I have requested very basic investment characteristics for my retirement plan, such as a blended expense ratio and historic return data, for my own independent analysis. SJP do not publish underlying fund factsheets or KIIDs on the portal, so it’s painful to extract this data for yourself. The SJP help desk have refused to provide me with a blended TER or links to the underlying Factsheets, so I can calculate this for myself. My request for return data was ignored. How is a retail client supposed to analyse their portfolio? This manner of engaging with me also makes me feel undervalued as a client and also like SJP are deliberately withholding information and portfolio characteristics that I am legally entitled to see. Why all the secrets?

I am a CFA chartholder myself, having spent 20 years as a portfolio manager for 2 of the largest asset man CO’s on earth. I answer similar queries for my clients every day. In fact, I publish my KIIDs and Factsheets so my clients can self help/analyse! Sort this out SJP!
