Being new to the world of mortgages when I bought my flat two years ago and now (after the fixed term ended) trying to navigate the process of securing the best deal possible in the current climate to switch to, Karl and the SIFA team have been just incredible.
I can't thank them enough for such clarity, efficiency, care and communication and for doing their very best for me. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Karl and his team have done a great job in finding us mortgages for a buy to let property as well as a remortgage on our current home. Jacques especially has worked tirelessly as we had a few bumps along the way and I really could not rate everyone highly enough.

I’ve been using Karl and his team’s services for 9 years; my only regret is not using them for the previous 40. Karl asks the right questions and shines light straight through any confusion, quoting the relevant legislation, clearly explaining all the options available, and ALWAYS has excellent solutions at his fingertips.
We met soon after my divorce, and I was full of apprehension about the future. That quickly evaporated at our first meeting and I enjoyed customer service I’d not dreamt of. It’s been consistent at every meeting and transaction since.
Karl and his awesome team have solved life changing problems for all of my family. That includes helping my mother with inheritance advice, and later with his unwavering personal support confronting a vile and predatory local authority. He has given my daughter and I positive and constructive help setting up new businesses and managing the accounts, helped me with the complexities of becoming a landlord, arranged mortgages in tricky circumstances, given some very sound investment advice, and more lately advice around pensions and making a Will - including his services as a trustee.
Karl’s amazing support, confidence and expertise, some too personal to mention here but appreciated all the same, have empowered me throughout the last decade and I feel confident will do so in the next.
SIFA is unique to me in that the entire team radiate positive vibes, confidence and knowledge, and are all great in their own right. I think that’s augmented by the way they are treated. Karl is proof that finance and empathy are not mutually exclusive.
I’d say you have much to gain and nothing to lose in Mr Hopper-Young’s hands, I am convinced placing your trust here will be rewarded. Did I mention his good spirited humour?

Karl has been my financial advisor for over 20 years from handling my inheritance to arranging the mortgage on our first family home and subsequent buy to let mortgages. He and his team now handle all my corporate tax and accounts and have also set up a private pension and put me in touch with the pension tracing scheme to track old pensions. My children are now at an age where they are ready to step onto the first rung of the property ladder and Karl will definitely be the person to help them with this. Great service from this company after being let down by a previous Finacial advisor. They worked through some initial problems but got us the mortgage in the end at a difficult time. We are very pleased with the service they provided and will definitely use them again. The team were friendly and professional. Jacques kept us updated at all times. Cannot recommend them enough.
