This is my third year of using Swift and I've never had any issues. This year my account has been Abbie Lindley and she's been absolutely incredible. All the information I've needed has been given very quickly and they've cracked straight on with everything. Highly recommend

At first i thought this company had done me a very good service i used them in 2020 got a very swift refund they took their bit gave me mine called me the year after asked me if i would like to use their service again i didnt feel the need to as i was in full time employment not needing to do any self assesments so i declined to which they then said would you like us to close the self assesment for you at a charge of £54.00 i said yes please payed them the fee thought it was all done and sorted until 3 days ago i get a letter from hmrc saying that i owe over 2 grand due to non compliance of self assesment. As you can imagine very confused and angry i called the hmrc they explained they had been sending letters to swift refunds for over 3 years and got no reply so i rung these thieving tramps at swift refunds only for them to act all dumb and say they never recoeved the letters the manager was a very poor mumbling stumbling mess and just kept passing the buck back to bmrc so now i have over 2000 pound to find and pay back because these robbing arseholes are on the fiddle avoid at all costs do not use period!!!!

Told me the process would take maximum 12 weeks… 5 months later, constantly ringing them for updates then being told someone will email or ring me and heard nothing for weeks at a time. Eventually got an update and Swift wanted postcodes of where I had travelled to for work, for every single day of the 3 tax years I claimed for.. an impossible amount of info off me after already providing so much info.

Now they closed my claim because it’s impossible for me to provide that information and I am paying a monthly fee.

Interesting call with HMRC today. I received through the post a package saying I have had a case opened up against me for trying to claim expenses I wasn't entitled to. The whole package looked shady tbh as my missus deals with these every day she called it straight away. But it had the exact years Swift Refund claimed they was claiming for me for. Obviously didn't ring the number that was provided on the package I rung HMRC direct off my app.

They said there was no such case opened against me and not just just that my Self Assesment was closed last year and no claims are being made by anyone for myself!.

Total scam of a place do not touch with a barge poll!. They would have wanted me to pay for me to cancel my claim they wasn't even making for me!!!!. Scumbags

Trading standards, HMRC and police have been notified.

Seriously they sound good and yes I managed to get some good money but the following year my tax was ruined and ended paying back a lot more. They also left my account as a self assessment which I hadn’t realised, so when they bombarded me with more emails and messages telling me to use them again I thought why not as I can get my tax sorted, they found it was as such and couldn’t do anything for me and asked for £72 for the privilege. I asked for help and they were very rude.

Absolutely shocking i have ended up paying just over £1500 to hmrc. There is a task force out on these so beware . They sent me a ccj saying I hadn't responded to their emails . You could not make this up. I had zero help off them they could not care less as long as they get their cut. 2 autistic children we had the worse Xmas ever . Complete con artists stay well clear.

I started a claim 7 months ago and only now I have been told that HMRC changed the requirements for claims 8 months ago!!
When I asked why I haven’t been told this until now they couldn’t give me an answer..
They will lead you down a path until they ask you for every receipt for food, fuel, food etc etc at the last minute… when I couldn’t supply this if they continued with the claim and was rejected by HMRC then I would have to pay £500 in fees. I asked them to cancel everything and was then threatened with debt collectors if I didn’t pay a cancellation fee. Swift realise now that because HMRC have now changed there requirements the only way they can make money is misleading working people into cancelling after months of you doing all the work and then you pay for it….
Be warned they are scam artists!!!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Very poor service. Applied for a tax rebate and they advised they had all the relevant paperwork/ proof required. Stated how much I would get back ect. I received a letter from HMRC stating Swift have got there calculations wrong. Sent Swift an email with no response for over a month. Had a response back after just over a month requesting a lot more information that was irrelevant for the claim I had made. Because I did not respond straight away, they sent me an invoice for an early cancellation. No follow up or any support. Unprofessional and very unclear with this kind of situation. Will not recommend and very unhappy with the service! Please avoid
