I actually wanna give the 0 star. Avoid them at all cost. I am not their direct client but the seller of the property is. Because of them now I have to look for another property. My mortgage was approved back in January and all the searches and everything was done by February. This firm takes ages to reply to my solicitor. They take weeks to do any paperwork. They never keep their promises. If they say they will update you next week that next week never comes. They never reply back to your solicitor’s email. You can never get through to the case worker even if you call them multiple times. Their receptionist is so useless that you never get an appointment booked with the case worker. My mortgage offer will be finishing soon and still this firm cannot give me a completion date. I am now looking for another property. This is probably the worst firm.

If there was a zero star rating that would be what Alan Tedstone would receive. Not a client just a client's purchaser. The chain was held up for hours while this solicitor prioritised his court appearance, journey from court and a client meeting over giving the OK, as the executor of an estate, for the sale of a property, despite the date for completion having been agreed by all parties well in advance.

As the title suggests, they are solicitors. Not somewhere where you hopefully have to visit frequently. Visited,greeted by friendly receptionist, and met the person we had an appointment with. Concluded our business successfully. Overall, it was a good experience.

I used these solicitors circa 2005, when I purchased a property, and had no complaints then. However, recent experience was different. I called them, and was told a solicitor's secretary would call me back to discuss my needs. Several days later, having heard nothing, I called again and was told: "Email us with some information, and someone will call you back". Hmm - couldn't they have just said that in the first place?
I duly sent the email, yet several days later, no acknowledgement and no call. It's an urgent matter, so even if they can't help, I'd have appreciated up-front honesty.
My advice - unless you want to spend time chasing a solicitor in order to give them your money, look elsewhere.

Called twice and went to office once and every time I was told by the receptionist someone would call me back…………. Still waiting for the call 2 months later. Gone to another local solicitor who is more reliable.

Tedstone are acting as our buyers solicitor and we (my solicitor) are having real issues getting responses and updates from them... it's currently been 2 months since our solicitor last had a response despite chasing. 9 months since they were instructed and I've even tried calling myself to find out what the issue is and they refuse to take or return my call.
