Ian and team from The Customiser did a fantastic job building a full size Tardis. It looks great and is of a high build quality. It was originally in an open office (used as a phone booth) and has now been "transported" to my front garden. They did a good job making it weatherproof for outside. The solar powered lamp at the top is a nice touch. The Customiser was very professional and responsive throughout. An inspiring example of British innovation and engineering! I highly recommend them.

I now have my own TARDIS!!! Wanted one since Christmas 1977 so I’ve had to be patient but boy was it worth the wait!!!!! The Customiser’s craftsmanship, communication, and sheer enthusiasm for supplying this for me was exceptional. If you are dithering over finally getting your dream piece then fear not, you are in completely safe hands. Value for money isn’t even debatable - they are worth every penny. Thank you Ian, and all your team. I’ll always be grateful 😃

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FLAWS WITH THIS POLICE BOX WERE CREATED AT THE PRODUCTION STAGE, BY THE CUSTOMISER.

I ordered a police box from the customiser a few months ago, loved it at first, but then it rained...I’ll get to that in a moment.

First off, communication was patchy. I was told on a couple of occasions that they would be shipping by the end of the week. The end of the week came and went and no update. When I contacted them I was told it was a little more complicated to build than previous models they had built. Ok...would have been nice to have been told that. Again, given another “it’ll be ready by....” email only for the date to come and go. Again I had to email and ask what was happening and was then told there was a shortage of plastic for the windows....again ok, would have been nice to have been told that instead of having to chase
It up.

Now on to the final product. There was quite the snafu getting it to me, but that was the fault of the haulier. At first I loved it, I built it and sealed it and it looked great. But then it rained and the interior turned into an indoor shower. The problem was that despite being told the police box would be going outside, they painted it with one coat of standard interior paint, it wasn’t even waterproof. Water inevitably got into cracks etc and many of the joints opened. Also the paint, since it wasn’t waterproof, started to flake off in several areas. In total I had to spend over £200 on exterior paint, liquid rubber and sealant to fill in the cracks. I contacted Ian about the shoddy paint job and was given the proverbial shrug of the shoulders, no explanation was offered. The fact that they didn’t use exterior waterproof paint on something they knew would be going outside is simply staggering. Even the roof, which was supplied as one prefab piece, leaked in several places due to the non waterproof nature of the paint used.

Also....the base of the police box split in two of the corners, and splits appeared in three of the support posts, which required more repair work. I raised this issue and again wasn’t given an answer. Ian said he would look into it but that was several weeks ago. He did imply that I could have caused the beams to split had I hammered them into position....which they weren’t. This doesn’t explain why the base split though.

Overall, this cost just over £4K and, despite initially being happy with the product, I now dread going into it after it’s been raining as inevitably another leak has appeared. £4k is a lot to spend on what turned out to be an item not fit for purpose.

Edit: Again, the customiser like to blame the customer.

Fact - The roof was supplied as one complete piece, no assembly required. It leaked. How is this an installation error on my part?

Fact - The customiser did not use waterproof paint, despite knowing that the police box was going to be outside. Again, how is this an installation error on my part? I had to spend hundreds of pounds to fix what should have been a finished product.

Ian and the team are so friendly and professional to deal with.

I had a full head liner and door cappings fitted to one of my limousines and it was as though it had just come from the showroom.

The work is impeccable as was the presentation of the limo.

Ii have been dealing with Ian for a number of years not just in refurb of my cars but also in electrical systems of limousines because he has such a vast knowledge.

Everything I have presented and challenge Ian with he has always resolved the issues and in all cases he has done this to an exceptional standard.

This is a true statement to the quality and professionalism of Ian and his team.

Well done
Keep it up and stay safe.

After a consultation of ideas and budgets Ian came up with the idea of converting an average passenger coach into an Italian Job themed Party Coach. The final result blew us, the local area, avid Italian Job fans and pretty much the whole transport industry away. As a limousine company we strived to be the best in our industry by pushing what was possible to do in a vehicle to give our customers the best possible experience with their friend's and family. This really hit the mark. We were inundated with calls, emails, Facebook posts from people that saw this wonderful vehicle on the road and customer feedback was always amazing. The coach was decked out in luxurious leather seating for 30 people in the print of the Union Jack. The windows were covered with the scenes of Turin. We had film posters on the walls, it was kitted out with bluetooth, karaoke, dvd and a fantastic sound system as well as incredible party lights and aircon. The thing that set this awesome vehicle aside from it's competition was that it had real life mini coopers inside. To follow the theme of the Italian Job films, they were red, white and blue! Two were made into bars with gold bullion bars, lights, glass holders and champagne buckets, the 3rd was at the back of the coach with an arch way built around it to depict the tunnel scenes from the film. This came with working head lights. To finish the coach off we also had the back end of the blue mini attached to the back of the coach with the scene of the minis getting into the back of the lorry depicted on it. This was a real talking point. This vehicle accommodated 30 passengers, a driver, a crew member, lots of storage and even clever uses of the seating areas where we could hide all of our cleaning products within them. Ian and his team listened to everything we needed and made it happen with an extraordinary finish. Feel free to Google The Italian Job Party Coach to check it out for yourself.
