Joe is absolutely brilliant! From someone who had never run for more than 10 minutes before, he coached both me and my husband to be able to run both a half and a full marathon! He has recently encouraged me join a strength class and I am absolutely loving it! He has a friendly yet professional approach to coaching and really gets the best out of everyone, motivating everyone to work to the best of their abilities. The classes (both run and strength) are really sociable and there’s a real “family” feel, we’re so lucky to have this in Bridport!

Joe's coaching and classes have been really sociable and his expert knowledge enables him to tailor the classes to individual needs. I was recovering from a repetitive knee injury following years of running and not very much strength building. As a beginner to strength training, Joe ensured all the exercises were useful and targeted the muscles needed to improve by running technique. Joe also tailored the exercises and classes for me to ensure the exercises were safe during my first trimester of pregnancy.

Joe is an amazing coach - always positive, motivating and supports me to enjoy running injury-free and to keep progressing in my training. I completely lost confidence in my running at one point after having children but after a few sessions with The Run Coach I was back in my stride and not long afterwards I completed my first half-marathon. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these inclusive sessions that everyone can get something from whether you are an experienced runner or a complete beginner.

We Love Joe. As husband and wife with quite different goals, (rehab plus training for Swim Runs and racket sports), Joe has blended his approach brilliantly. We always look forward to the strength and conditioning sessions. The classes are always sociable and we've improved our technique along the way. And inevitably are both better runners for it.

A friend recommended The Run Coach when I was struggling with a calf injury, and within a few short weeks of strength classes and 1-2-1’s not only am I back to running pain free, but I have also found an amazing, friendly and welcoming community led by Joe. Joe is an wonderful coach - incredibly knowledgable, professional, and down to earth. His classes are accessible and confidence building, I enjoy them very much. Would highly recommend!

I started coaching with Joe in 2018 after recommendation as I had been having continuous injuries, mainly with hip flexors and hamstrings. Despite lots of time and money being spent trying to resolve the injuries, they were never completely resolved and constantly reappeared as soon as I started running again or increased run intensity. I knew I did not have great run form but it wasn't until I started coaching with Joe that I realised how bad it was and how much it could be improved!

Fast forward 18 months and having completed a number of initial 1-2-1 sessions with Joe, I then started group classes for run technique and Strength & Conditioning. The difference has been huge. Not only do I now know how to run with good form, I have the muscle strength and proprioception to do it. I have now been running injury free for well over a year. I will continue to enrol in the group classes to keep focused on form and S&C. Running will never be the same again! Thanks Joe!

The way in which Joe coaches his trail running sessions really seems to work so no one feels left out whatever our ability. Joe's coaching during the runs has really helped my running, but in particular I find I am able to run further and conquer hills which previously had been impossible! Thanks for everything so far Joe.

I suffered with a bad lower back after childbirth for nearly 2 years. Painful and debilitating. Joe sorted it out with his superb strength class in less than 2 months. Without laying a hand on me!!!! His strength and running classes are life changing and the best thing that ever happened to my fitness (and mind!). Cant recommend enough!
