Generally a very satisfying and simple hiring process and experience. The staff were really nice and helpful and friendly. The vehicle was fantastic. The hiring process was simple yet thorough. My only slight complaint, and my reason for only giving four stars, is that they were unable to accommodate my vehicle in there compound while I was using the rented vehicle. I had to leave my car out on a public road. To be fair, they do warn about this as a possibility on their website but I think that they should make it clearer or make sure they can always accommodate customer's vehicles in the yard.
Anyway, mostly a very positive experience and I will definitely use them again and would recommend. Thanks to the staff at the Exeter branch for a pleasant hiring experience.

Wanted to hire a van for later the same evening to pick up some furniture and they managed to accommodate this. I got a great Ford transit short wheel-based van which was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, the process was straightforward and the prices were very reasonable! Highly recommend!

They were decent, documents accessible online with the pre-vehicle checks.
They didn't charge me for anything unnecessary or try to rip me off like other firms

*Only downside is they don't open half of Saturday and all of sunday, meaning if you return the van on the weekend you block off the busy industrial road and you're liable until they check the vehicle the next morning*

I was moving house and decided that all the removal quotes were way too high, so I hired the High Top Long wheel base van and the Luton Power Lift van. If you can handle the extra width, length and height of the Luton van, I would go for that. The extra load volume capacity is better than the Long wheel base van, and you've got the power lift tailgate on the Luton that the van doesn't have. If you've got narrow roads or limited turning space, I'd definitely go for the long wheel base van. The van also has parking sensors that make reversing easier. The Luton doesn't have any sensors whatsoever. Great service and pick up and drop off was super easy. Don't forget your UK licence and National insurance number.

Rented a large van for the first time on Friday, just for a day and was really impressed with the service. Guy on the service desk was really nice, the van was clean and tidy and everything was explained very well. The deposit was also very reasonable and returned in good time. Very happy indeed, thank you u drive 🙂

Would of gave zero, hired a van at double the price of there competitors. Only to receive an old beaten up van and the inside certainly hadn't seen a hoover.
Returning the van two hours later, I was charge an additional £20 for fuel as apparently the needle had slightly moved, instead of taking a digital reading they just a random angled picture of it, so anyone's guess. I went around the corner and back. I thought for a company that charges double for old beaten vans wouldn't charge new customers for a teardrop of fuel.

Poor customer service

Definitely won't be using again or recommending.

Used U-Drive and found the service is amazing..lovely person called Emily I think..but she was super helpful and got me sorted. Great vehicle, and look forward to using them again. And super competitive prices. We'll recommended.

Great customer service, friendly and helpful. Very good 7.5 tonne truck used... clean and tidy. Heavy on the diesel... did 370 miles and spent £160 on fuel. Reverse gear very difficult to manage without being muscle-bound! Highly recommended firm.
