I was recommended this company by my mortgage advisor to handle the conveyancing for a remortgage, with an emphasis on their professionalism and speed

However, my remortgage was not completed by the end of my fixed-rate deal, which led to an unexpected additional cost of £470 in follow-on rates. The process was only finalised 23 days after my fixed-rate deal had ended, causing significant financial hardship.

When I contacted my solicitor to express my dissatisfaction with the delay, I was told that nothing could be done and was advised to raise a formal complaint.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company if you need your remortgage to be completed promptly by the end of your fixed-rate period.

Disappointed with my experience of VC Law, especially after all the good reviews I had read and been given by others. Communication was very poor and slow. I regularly had to email or phone the office for updates, often with no reply. The whole process took 7 months, even though I already owned a share of the property I was buying so should have been quite straightforward. This meant I also had to extend my mortgage application and regularly check in with my mortgage advisor. All of it was made more stressful than it needed to be.
