Although I have always been actively involved in family finances, bereavement last year left me with the realisation that I needed to discuss in depth my situation with a totally independent financial adviser.
Ilan of Wessex Financial Planning met with me at my home, introduced himself and the services he offered, then we established what I wanted from his involvement. He took away all the information I provided, incomes, expenses, savings and investments, we then met again to discuss his cashflow forecast and potential investment ideas. Working with Ilan in this way has given me peace of mind, knowing that I can live my life comfortably and provide for my future needs, and those of my family.
I would certainly recommend Wessex Financial Planning to other people, as we said at our initial telephone contact, meeting face to face and establishing whether we can work together is of paramount importance.

Wessex Financial Planning have dealt with all our financial requirements for many years.
Ilan has provided us with valuable recommendations for investments and is always very thorough when it comes to the annual review. Explaining all aspects in a way that is easy to understand with graphs and detailed history and future predictions. He always keeps us informed which has been very helpful and today recommended transferring money from a general investment account into the flexible ISA. Thus saving capital gains tax and income tax. It’s also good to be visited at home where we can sit comfortably around the table with a coffee while discussing financial matters.
Definitely would recommend Ilan’s services to anyone.

Wessex financial planning is a great service. Ilan has particularly helped us with our pensions, he also provided us with some very helpful graphs, which modelled future predictions and numbers, so we could see where gaps and shortfalls might arise in the future. Ilan provides helpful advice is clear and concise language. This service has been very beneficial and it has helped us to think about the future and take steps now to plan for what we will need in retirement age.
