Excellent trip to Scotland last week for the EdinburghTattoo…hotel accommodation was lovely, food was amazing quality. Comfortable coach, informative & pleasant driver and Whittles always go above & beyond with little gestures that puts other coach holiday companies to shame. Plus the package price was very good. Highly recommend. 10/10.

I enjoy their trips out. Pete our Driver was very knowledgeable and a good laugh.
Winchester, the New Forest and Lymington were on our itinerary more of a retail trip which the other half made use of.
Lymington was like stepping back in time, a lovely clean well appointed town. With friendly store holders. Lots to see in Winchester.

Our latest trip was to Port Merrion and Castell Deudraeth another fantastic place to visit. The Castle was our Lunch venue, excellent service and food. The we spent the rest of the afternoon in the lovely Italian style village. Gary our Driver was on top form and made the day for us a special experience.

27 August 2023, Rail and Sail in the Trossachs
Day 1:- Collected from home at 6:35am and travelled to Whittles garage in Kidderminster, (excellent service). Ben our coach driver stored our luggage on board and then we departed to travel to Robb Roy Hotel in Aberfoyle, Scotland. Excellent trip apart from the visibility from the coach, (coach windows darkly tinted). Ben the driver made two stops, the first after 2 hours at Welcome Break at Charnock Richard for 45 minutes, the second after another 2 hours at Gretna Green Famous Blacksmiths Shop for 50 minutes. From here we continued on to the Robb Roy Hotel. On arrival we were greeted by the hotel staff and given our room key. The room as exactly what we had requested with a walk-in shower. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The evening meal offered a wide choice of dishes all looking very temping, see attached photos.
Day 2:- Departed 9:00am following an excellent breakfast, to Glasgow Queen Street Station for our train ride to Oban. This was a complete waste of time, all we saw was cuttings, track side trees, with an occasional glance of scenery. Our journey back to the hotel was far more scenic than the train ride.
Meals again at the hotel excellent.
Day 3:- Departed 10:00am, following an excellent breakfast, stopping for a short visit to Aberfoyle. From here we continued on to The Kelpies with the impressive sculptures. We then travelled to Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway for an excellent ride (1hr 25mins) with afternoon tea to Manuel and back, followed by another excellent meal at the Robb Roy Hotel, see photos.
Day 4:- Departed 9:30am following an excellent breakfast to Loch Katrine for a interesting cruise abroad the steamship Sir Walter Scott (approx. 3hrs) followed by a visit to the Falkirk Wheel. Another excellent day and evening meal back at the hotel.
Day 5:- Departed at 9:00am to return home, following another excellent breakfast. Our first stop was at the Tebay Services, where we stayed for about 1 hour, the second stop was at the Trentham Shopping  Village where we stayed for about 1 hour 15 minutes arriving back at Kidderminster at 6:40pm. Here we boarded the transfer bus back home arriving at 7:30pm.
Overall an excellent 5 days made special by our driver Ben.

We went on a day trip to York for the Ice Sculpture Trail. We boarded the coach at the depot in Kidderminster, leaving at 7:10. On route we had a break at Tibshelf services with time for a toilet break and a coffee. Near York the driver give us a rundown of York's history and what we could see while there. We walked round the town centre, the ice sculpture were impressive, our only comment is there were too many people there, where ever we went there were crowds. We had an excellent lunch at the Old White Swan, where we alway go when we visit York. When we left after lunch every table was full with people queuing.
Overall an excellent trip, with a friendly and helpful driver.

I have been on lots of day trips with Whittles to many different places and your drivers are the best. The trip to Looe on 29th August was one of the best. Lovely seaside town beautiful weather and Ben was a great driver especially as he had to contend with a lot of difficulties on the way home. He deserves a medal. Looking forward to lots of lovely days out with Whittles in the future.

Homeward bound after a fantastic holiday with Whittles Coaches from the trip "Killarney and the Ring of Kerry"
The three hotels that we stayed at on our tour were absolutely fantastic, lovely food, clean comfortable rooms, great staff.
The driver Ben is very good at his job, as his driving skills proved, especially when negotiating the very narrow and windy roads on the trip around the Ring of Kerry.
We stopped at various locations to take in the absolutely fantastic views, many of which were breadth taking.
I would highly recommend this holiday to anyone, providing Whittles do not use their new silver coloured coach, due to the fact it has seriously dark tinted windows fitted to the coach registration YT23 HXS.......It is extremely difficult to see clearly out of the windows, so difficult that you are unable to see the colours of flowers on the roadside, and very difficult to see the contrasting scenery as we travelled.
This part of the holiday was seriously impaired by these windows, it is like travelling at night.
Why would a coach company use a coach for a holiday that included scenic tours, when it is virtually impossible to take in the magnificent views that were apparent.
Excellent trip, great itinerary, but the dark tinted coach windows detracted the enjoyment from an otherwise superb holiday
